My wife and I recently moved into Hilton Head Island and thus needed to find a dentist. Katy went first and came home with a praise report. I followed and was sold. Dr Sugg generously shares her time and her great skill with her patients.

Dr Sugg brings immense skills to her dental practice on Hilton Head Island. Not only does she have 15 years of experience in private practice, she aced her board exam. Aced. As in 100%.

My wife and I would like to thank you for the excellent dental work you performed for us over the past few months. The procedures you did for me were complicated, difficult, and time consuming. They involved the removal of three bridges, along with the preparation for, and the making of a complete upper denture using the very latest technology. Instead of removing all the upper teeth, you utilized a concept that allowed me to retain several teeth that pierce the denture and thus help stabilize it. You were extremely patient throughout the process over several visits to make sure the denture fit perfectly and was comfortable.

My wife was bothered for years by two front teeth that had been capped but their appearance was not as nice as they should or could be. She was worried that if she had them recapped, they might turn out worse. She was reassured that if she had them recapped, they might turn out worse. She was reassured by the obvious knowledge and technical excellence you showed in the work on my teeth and she asked you to perform the work she needed. The result is all she hoped for.

I have been dreading a trip to the dentist for a long time. My former visits have not been so pleasant. I finally let it go too long. A friend from church gave me Dr Sugg’s telephone number and said she was a very good dentist. After about a month I started having a toothache and also one of my front teeth broke off. I wouldn’t smile and became very withdrawn from people. I called her office and spoke to a very friendly young lady on the phone. I made an appt for two weeks later and I made my daughter go with me. Dr Sugg took xrays and told me I had a cavity and she could fix the broken tooth. She also gave me a list of what everything would cost and how she would divide it in three visits. I made an appt for the following week. When I came in for my next visits she told me that she was giving me some local anesthesia and that didnt much, just the thought. She filled my one tooth that was bad and reconstructed my broken tooth. When she finished, she gave me a mirror to look at what she had done…I wanted to cry, she made my teeth look so good..I think I hurt her from the big hug I gave her. I will not dread the dental visits anymore because I have found the perfect dentist!

In need of a new dentist, we chose Dr. Sugg based on a glowing referral from a friend. She did not disappoint. Dr. Sugg is a true credit to her profession. The office is managed by a charming and very capable lady named Becka, ready and willing to make scheduling, forms, and insurance as painless as the dentist herself makes of dentistry and uses her skills with a sure hand and kind heart. A shattered front tooth was beautifully repaired in one visit, no novacain!! We are thrilled to have discovered Ocean Dental and Dr Sugg.

Having spent a good portion of my childhood in a dentist’s chair, it should come as no surprise that I have a deep seated fear of all dentists. To illustrate this phobia even further, even after my daughter graduated from Harvard Dental School I would rather have a tooth pulled than go to the dentist. Laugh all you want but that’s precisely what was going to happen unless I got the nerve to get a check up so I left it up to my wife to find a dentist. That dentist was Elizabeth Sugg.

Arriving for my appointment with knees knocking, it took all of five minutes for me to realize that Elizabeth was different. Her office was light and airy, and it was just Elizabeth and myself. Was I dreaming? There were no waiting lines. no chastising me for this or that but rather a delightful and skilled medical professional with a personality. In a nutshell, my 58 year phobia of anyone associated with the dental profession was finally gone and I was free at last.

Will I go back? Absolutely, and since she did such a good job with my dental “fear factor” maybe she can help me with some of my other phobias. It’s worth a try!

Dr Suggs background is impressive! Her patient way of keeping me comfortable while I am in the dental chair is amazing! I was injured in a car accident causing difficulty and pain lying back. She took so much time padding my body injuries, and took breaks to help me through. I can’t praise her enough. She is rare, talented, and warm. I trust Dr. Sugg. She constantly knows about and uses the latest dental discoveries!

My first experience at Ocean Dental was the best I have ever encountered. She spent time conversing with me which immediately made me feel completely comfortable. Next, she performed the most thorough oral examination I have ever had in my life! As a former dental assistant for several different dentists in other states, I can attest to her excellence. In addition, she took the necessary time it takes to evaluate every tooth in my mouth. After notating those details, she performed an examination under my tongue, right to left, the roof of my mouth, my tongue, and more. Following this, I was given a manual lymph node check which was gentle, but thorough. After that, my mouth was scanned for any cancer cells. I requested local anesthesia for my entire oral cavity in order to have my teeth cleaned. I can honestly say that no-one has ever administered a numbing as well as Dr. Sugg did. Her welcoming manner, knowledge, and superior skills were truly the best I have ever encountered. She is now my new dentist and I would recommend her to anyone.

I have to admit in all my years of seeing a dentist, Dr. Sugg was the most thorough ever, she did every test, most I had never even gotten! She is gentle, sweet, kind, considerate and an all around super dentist and person. I would recommend her to anyone! Glad I found her. I liked the fact that she did everything herself. The office is spotless and Becca is a very sweet receptionist.

I loved my recent teeth cleaning and check up experience with Dr. Sugg. Her professionalism and thoroughness inspired complete confidence. I don’t believe I have had a more meticulous exam and teeth cleaning anywhere else. Her office is also a lovely and relaxing place. I would and have highly recommended her.
