Dr. Gary Heller

Education and Experience

Dr. Heller graduated from the University of Georgia in 1979, with duel honor degrees in Biology and Biochemistry. In 1983 he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee, again with honors.

In 1986 Dr. Heller entered into a private practice of 36 years, by purchasing an office in a suburb of Atlanta.

In 2021, Dr. Heller sold his practice yet continues to see patients on a part time basis. He joined Dr. Sugg‘s team at Ocean Dental as an associate in 2024. His expertise, quality care and compassion make him a valuable asset to the practice. He and his wife now split their time in Atlanta and on Hilton Head.

Special Interests

I began my journey in skincare in 2017 at the Spa International Institute, completing a 6-month program and earning a certificate in aesthetics. My training focused specifically on skin health and treatments.

Since then, I’ve gained hands-on experience working with all skin types and identifying when clients may need further medical care. I specialize in chemical peels, microdermabrasion, microneedling, and dermaplaning. In addition, I provide eyebrow and eyelash tinting services.

Dr Heller’s philosophy is “dentistry has given a lot to me and I still have a lot to give back.”

He and his wife enjoy life, grandkids, Hilton Head, traveling the world, scuba diving, and fishing.
