A Smile Built to Last
Mostly or completely missing teeth can create struggles in everyday life. If you are looking to restore your smile but don’t think dentures are right for you, All On 4 implants are an excellent alternative. With just one procedure, you’ll be on your way to eating, speaking, looking, and feeling better.
If you are looking for a more permanent, natural-looking, and functional solution to missing or damaged teeth, consider getting an All On 4 implant. The All On 4 implants offer stability, longevity, and the appearance of a full unified smile. Unlike removable dentures or bridges, these implants are permanently fixed to your jawbone, giving you the natural and comfortable feeling of real teeth.
What To Expect
Our Process
After numbing your mouth, four titanium posts will be surgically implanted into your jawbone. After the surgery, a temporary set of teeth will be attached to the implants while they heal.
Once the jawbone has grown securely around the implant, we will replace the temporary teeth with a permanent custom denture (usually within 6 to 12 weeks).

All On 4 implants are artificial tooth roots made of biocompatible materials, such as titanium. Unlike dentures, a dental surgeon permanently implants these into your jawbone to support your replacement teeth.
The best candidates for All On 4 implants have good oral and overall health, adequate bone density in the jaw to support the implant, and healthy gums. We will evaluate your medical and dental history to determine if dental implants are right for you.
With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last a lifetime. However, their longevity depends on how well you stick to best oral hygiene practices, regular dental check-ups, and other healthy habits.
Getting All On 4 Implants in Hilton Head usually involves multiple appointments, as this is a permanent solution. The process includes an initial consultation and evaluation. The implant placement surgery can be done within one procedure, however, healing time will be needed post-surgery while the implant fuses with the jawbone (usually within 6 to 12 weeks). Once the jawbone has fully grown around the implant, we can complete the placement of your final restoration.
All On 4 implants look and feel more natural than dentures. Maintaining removable dentures involves special cleaning and care, whereas the implant can be kept up the same way as real teeth. The All On 4 implants are secure and begin fusing with your jawbone as soon as they are put in, making them a reliable restoration option while removing the worry of your dentures falling out or coming loose.
“All On 4” is a specific type of dental implant procedure where only four implants are used to support a full set of replacement teeth for an entire jaw. “Implants” generally refer to individual dental implants placed one per missing tooth. With traditional implants, a patient might need significantly more implants to replace a full arch of teeth; All On 4 uses fewer implants to achieve the same result, making it a less invasive option for full-mouth restoration.
Unlike removable dentures, caring for All On 4 implants is similar to how you care for your natural teeth. Sticking to consistent oral hygiene routines like brushing, flossing, and antibacterial mouthwash is key. Routine dental cleanings and check-ups are also important to ensure the long-term success of your implants.
Coverage for dental implants varies depending on your insurance plan. While some plans may cover a portion of the cost of dental implants, others may not. It is best to check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage options.
While smoking can negatively affect the success rate of All On 4s, smokers may still qualify for the implants. Smoking can impair the healing process and increase the risk of complications. Refraining from smoking or reducing smoking habits can improve the chances of successful implant placement and long-term stability.
